Why conduct a clinical trial in Slovenia with the help of ADAX International d.o.o.?Slovenia, located in the heart of Europe, between Austria, Italy, Hungary, and Croatia, is an excellent environment for the conduct of clinical trials. Our regulatory procedures are well defined, and our competent authorities are experienced. Study approval is rapidly obtained, usually in under 90 days. In multi-centre international studies the Slovene sites prove to be among the first sites to start patient recruitment. Due to the small size of our country, Slovene physicians and other medical staff, as well as patients, are exceedingly motivated to collaborate with foreign sponsors, and, by this means, to improve our health care system and the fund of available new and superior therapies. Slovene physicians can boast with excellent knowledge and thorough expertise, often upgraded by advanced scientific study abroad. So far, all proposed study procedures, examinations, and operations could be realised and handled by local facilities. Besides a well established network of local medical units, like health centers, hospitals and private out-patient units, Slovene patients are referred to two major medical centers comprising specialized departments and institutes. Slovenia is one of the few countries that keep a central cancer registry, which helps to maintain an exact overview over the population of cancer patients and immensely enhances statistical analysis. Due to shorter travel distances of patients and monitors the hidden costs are by far smaller than in other European countries (usually no accommodation required). The investigator fee usually makes only 60 – 70 % of the payment of Western European investigators. ADAX's team is a group of 13 CRAs with extensive experience in preparing and conducting clinical trials in many therapeutic areas, from oncology to rheumatology. All CRAs have university or post-graduate education in life-science.
